QUADRIENNALE DE PRAGUE

Dans le cadre du projet « L’Abri d’idées », cinq étudiantes de 3e année du programme Théâtre-Production, décors et costumes, (Frédérique Deschamps, Roxanne Gariépy, Cynthia Hébert Piché, Daphnée St-Jacques et Clémentine Verhaegen) ont conçu une installation scénographique originale en respectant les thèmes et les enjeux de la pièce« Chaîne de montage » de l’auteur Suzanne Lebeau. « Chaîne de montage » dénonce l’exploitation des populations fragiles, particulièrement les femmes, découlant des effets de la mondialisation au Mexique. Les cinq étudiantes, touchées par ce texte et par la disparition de près de 2000 femmes dans la ville de Ciudad Juárez au nord du Mexique, ont développé leurs aptitudes créatives afin de leur rendre hommage.

As part of the “L’Abri d’idées” project, five third-year students from the Théâtre-Production program, sets and costumes, (Frédérique Deschamps, Roxanne Gariépy, Cynthia Hébert Piché, Daphnée St-Jacques and Clémentine Verhaegen) designed an original scenographic installation respecting the themes and issues of Suzanne Lebeau’s play “Chaîne de montage”. “Assembly Chain” denounces the exploitation of fragile populations, particularly women, resulting from the effects of globalization in Mexico. The five students, touched by this text and the disappearance of nearly 2,000 women in the city of Ciudad Juárez in northern Mexico, have developed their creative skills to honor them.

Elles ont choisies de sensibiliser le public a la problematique des feminicides et des violences faites aux femmes dans cette ville frontaliere. Les etudiantes ont prises positions sur le sujet et veulent que le monde agissent et prennent conscience de l’ampleur et de la gravite de la situation.

They have chosen to raise public awareness of the problem of feminicide and violence against women in this border town. The students have taken positions on the subject and want the world to act and become aware of the magnitude and gravity of the situation.

L’originalité de l’École de Théâtre Professionnel du Collège Lionel-Groulx se traduit par une orientation pédagogique qui fusionne trois programmes : Interprétation théâtrale, Théâtre Production (séparé en deux volets: « Décors et costumes » et« Gestionet techniques de scène ») et Interprétation en théâtre musical. Des ateliers jusqu’aux exercices semi-publics et aux productions publiques, les étudiantes et les étudiants des trois programmes sont amenés à collaborer entre eux.

The originality of the School of Professional Theater at Collège Lionel-Groulx is reflected in a pedagogical orientation that merges three programs: Theatrical Interpretation, Theater Production (split into two parts: “Sets and Costumes” and “Management and Stage Techniques”). and Interpretation in musical theater. From workshops to semi-public exercises and public productions, students from all three programs collaborate with each other.
